This ensures that all parameters and processes related to adhesive bonding and potting are accurately matched to each other, independently of the rest of the machine. The Scheugenpflug ProcessModule offers the optimal solution for a wide range of process requirements.
Thanks to powerful axis and motor technology, the ProcessModule offers high traversing speeds and thus short cycle times in matrix, bead and filling applications. It was developed for maximum economy and optimized for simple and flexible integration. This is made possible by the large traversing range, which enables the dispensing of adhesives and sealants as well as potting media on several parts in a single operation. Further characteristics are the high flexibility with regard to process and part parameters and the simple use of conveyor belts.

INTEGRATED QUALITY ASSURANCE
Needle measurement & weighing unit modules: Thanks to its modular design, the ProcessModule can be quickly and easily extended with high-precision sensor technology. Continuous monitoring ensures precise dispensing results.
Needle measurement, based on TCP measurement technology (Tool Center Point), ensures automatic (re-)calibration of the dispensing needle tip. With the aid of two light barriers and zero-point correction, the module guarantees maximum positional accuracy in three dimensions (X, Y and Z axes). Combined with weight control, which checks the specified potting quantities and thus ensures early error detection in the dispensing system, this is an efficient tool for process monitoring.
Comprehensive real-time bead inspection: Our in-line RTVision image processing systems monitor and check bead application at the same time as adhesive and sealant are being applied.

Video: Accurate dispensing needle measurement
This shows you how needle measurement works: The axis system guides the needle tip to two light barriers. The positions on the X and Y axes are determined when the beam is interrupted. The Z axis is determined by the zero point of the light barriers.

The Universal Visualization UVIS 5 software offers a powerful user interface tailored to the application for all Scheugenpflug cells, vacuum dispensing systems and Scheugenpflug’s ProcessModule. The user always has an overview of the relevant data for all processes as well as associated monitoring, maintenance and analysis tasks.
