Ensure nothing stands in the way of a perfect application!

Preparing an application for the first time can be really difficult. What is a cover letter supposed to look like? What information should be included in the curriculum vitae? Should I include a picture or not?

Here you can find a lot of information, including tips and tricks, on completing your application. It’s best if you just start working on your application now. We’re looking forward to meeting you!

Checklist – your application materials

✓ Cover letter

Key things to remember: Be direct and to the point. Your cover letter should not be longer than one DIN A4 page. Refer to the relevant training position that you want to apply for. Be specific. This way we can quickly find out whether you are the right fit for the position. Your cover letter should also answer the following questions:

  • How did you find out about us?
  • What school do you currently attend? / What area of study have you chosen and why?
  • Why are you interested in us?
  • Why are you interested in this training position?
  • What are your strengths?

Another important tip: Avoid spelling and grammar errors. It is best if you have your parents review the application and make corrections before submitting it. Other people often notice mistakes that you yourself do not see.

✓ Curriculum vitae

The CV should be well organized with a clear layout. Include all internships that you have already completed, if possible. Do not forget to mention the type of position you were learning about and when the internship took place.

Tip: Particularly since you are just starting your career, you should also include any voluntary work. This shows us that you have particular abilities such as a strong sense of responsibility – abilities that others may not have yet.

✓ Report cards, references and certificates

Complete application materials also include report cards, references and certificates. Please include your last three school report cards. This helps us get a good impression of your scholastic achievements. Please also feel free to include any certificates or performance reviews from internships, if applicable.

✓ Application photo

A photo is not mandatory for your application. However, it is a nice supplement to have and helps us form an initial impression about you. If you wish to include an application photo, make sure to have it taken by a professional. It is best to contact a photography studio about this. You can also use the photo to add a unique touch to your application. Feel free to play with colors and elements of design in your application!
